Fulfills Disaster Recovery Planning And Cost Reduction
GNi, a leading provider of customer-centric managed hosting services, today announced it has signed an agreement to provide disaster recovery co-location space and Internet transit services for Seattle-based Medical Consultants Network (MCN). MCN offers independent third-party medical exams for government agencies and insurance companies.
Because Seattle is located in an earthquake zone, MCN decided to establish an off-site disaster recovery facility for their primary services. They wanted an area safe from natural disasters like earthquakes, tornados and wild fires. After a nationwide search they selected the new 365 Main data center in Chandler, Arizona because there was space available at a reasonable price, because it was easy to reach, and because GNi’s on-site managed services team offered the responsiveness and expertise MCN required.
“GNi’s response for requested information was quick and efficient,” explained William Ellison, Medical Consultants Network’s vice president of information systems. “They responded to all of our questions and concerns quickly and gracefully and offered us the solution we wanted. Currently we’re leasing a single power cabinet and Internet services; however, GNi made it easy for us to expand. And because they maintain on-site customer support, they can fix any problem immediately, which saves us time and the price of an airline ticket.”
GNi combines multiple ISPs, redundancy, “burstable” support, fail-over, recovery and 24x7 customer support to maximize uptime, eliminate points of failure, and provide reliable service for mission-critical applications. The rapidly expanding managed services provider also guarantees 99.999 percent network availability through the its service level agreements in 14 service locations across the United States, Europe and Asia.
