Making the Impossible Happen subject of presentation
Derek Wise, Global Netoptex (GNi) president and CEO,will present a session entitled “Making the Impossible Happen” at the Data Center Summit at Interop Las Vegas to be held May 20-25, 2007 before an audience of CIOs, IT directors and other technology executives.
WHAT:
The presentation will focus on data center and server efficiency utilizing high performance networks and hardware designed for ultra-dense computing environments. Wise will compare blade and rackmount servers and the power and management costs associated with each technology. Prior to the session, Wise will copresent a session called "Ensuring Data Center Reliability for Mission-Critical -- and Mission Impossible -- Applications" with Chris Dolan, CEO of 365 Main which develops and operates data centers throughout the world. GNi has been a 365 Main customer since 2003. Together they will discuss the data center infrastructure required for modern, large-scale server deployments, where power, scalability and network connectivity are growing concerns.
